I love animals, so if your loved one has a pet, that would be a plus for me. I have found over my years caregivers will not care for pets. Please keep this in mind.

Patricia, or mom as I call her, was born to be a caretaker!! I mean what mother doesn't possess this skill, but on top of that I can't think of an animal she doesn't have experience with, from tiny pets to livestock. Then, in a sad turn of events, she graciously took on the role of caregiver to my grandmother, who had Alzheimer's for many years. She joined care groups and studied the disease to truly understand what her mother needed and took great care of her through some tough times. During that time mom realized there were several seniors in need of that type of care and had worked with private clients/ families for several years, providing the same love, and support as she did for my grandmother. Her "prefect job" would be caring for YOUR special senior, and if pet care is involved, it's the perfect match, but not required.
