About Owen

Hello! I'm a student who will be in DC for the summer and is looking for work doing the job I know best--childcare. I was raised on a summer camp by the directors (my parents) and as soon as I could I started taking staff trainings in behavior management and group control. That left me well-prepared to work as a camp counselor for 3 years, then as a special events coordinator for 2 years after that. During college, I worked with a local board game cafe to run events for children and teach them new games. When it comes to looking after kids, I've worked with ages 6-16, in one-on-one settings and with groups as large as 90. I'm fun and creative and I know ALL the best games. For those interested in a more educational service, I have experience tutoring Math and English--mostly freelance work while I was at Northwestern University, where I graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Theatre.
