Like Keeping Homes Clean. Growing up the 7th of 11 children, my parents taught us early to make our beds as soon as we get up, and started us at a very young age to pick up after ourselves. To "put things back where we got them from" so that they are where everyone expects to find them. In retrospect, I think they were genius to have each of us share chores so that mom wasn't overwhelmed with having to do it all. Anyway, this mindset has stuck with me, and even when I babysit or care for the elderly, I tend to also spend time cleaning their homes. It's just what I do to make the time spent with my clients more productive and able to realize the value of my service.
