About Nyesha

I am a mother of a 5 soon to be 6 y/o boy. I love working with children because I enjoy watching them evolve into their own person. Sometimes I think about how the world doesn't show enough reverence for children's emotional needs and to me being emotionally aware is not just about asking a child how they feel, because they're not always going to be able to relay that, but also protecting them from anything that may cause emotional distress. I've learned that a lot of that looks like having the patience to explain what doesn't make sense to them, active listening, and believing what they're experiencing to help them through their tough moments. I'm compassionate about children and have much respect for them because we as parents and guardians are all children have to properly prepare them for adulthood. I am kind, fun, yet stern and authoritative, all when necessary, understanding there is a time and place for everything.
