About Nowell

- I (24, she/her) am an environmental education professional with experience caring for/teaching children ages 4-12. I have worked for several outdoor education programs (including CSU's Eco-Week and Keystone Science School). - I approach modern child care with a stem based/literary approach. When interacting with children, my focus is on promoting self confidence, guiding curiosity, promoting autonomy, engaging critical thinking and risk assessment. - I am comfortable and familiar with diaper changing/potty training, guiding nap times, meal times/meal prep and the dialogues that can surround foods (and introducing foods) and promoting intuitive eating and positive eating mindsets, medication administration, behavior redirection and boundary setting, facilitating age appropriate creative/exploratory play, etc. - First Aid and CPR certified. - I have references from my outdoor education jobs that I'd be more than happy to share with you!
