About Nika

Hi! I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Psychology. I have done tutoring for about 5-6 years on and off. I have experience with Math tutoring (grades 2-8) and English (grades K-11). I myself was tutored in middle and high school so I understand what it's like to be on the other side of the table. I adapt based on the child's needs. Sometimes the way a subject is taught at school doesn't make sense for all students so I try to find alternate ways to explain a problem or concept. I can help with general essay editing and writing. I also have plenty of years with homework help as a babysitter for over 10 years. It can be overwhelming to face it on your own, sometimes it helps to hear someone else break it down (and give you the tools to do it alone). I have experience working with neurodivergent children, they are who I want to work with later in my career so I am always learning ore about how to support everybody's needs! I am open to both in person and virtual tutoring.
