I was born and raised in Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a B. S. in Film. I have an extensive 13 years of childcare experience, the first 8 years spent as a preschool teacher and then 5 years as a full time nanny in New York. As both a teacher and nanny, I have years of experience with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I strive to be a confident, sensitive caregiver and role model, who emotionally supports the children in my care to do what they love, be helpful and respectful world citizens, know that learning is a lifelong experience that should never stop, and (of course) have fun! And all the better if they share my love of nature. I am seeking a terrific nanny opportunity to continue doing what I love and broaden my experiences. In my spare time, I really enjoy being outdoors - camping, hiking, archery, and swimming are my favorite activities. When I'm not outside, I enjoy watching Japanese movies and practicing graphic design.

Nick has been a Full Time Nanny for us for now almost two years. He is caring, has been providing a high quality, challenging and consistent education for our now 4 year old. His responsibilities include school pick up and drop off for our second child, taking care in case of (milder) sickness for both, sports classes, swim lessons, feeding, diapering - the full service. Nick is especially great in building a social life for our son by having a network of nanny friends, a playgroup and other activities he takes our son to. He knows Park Slope and the surrounding neighborhoods, proactively picks out fun stuff, events and activities in addition or complementing the theme-based weekly curriculum he has developed. He has been reliable, dependable - just exactly what you need to coordinate with a work life of your own. We would be happy to provide references for Nick or give more details about his role and performance on the job - and would highly recommend him anytime!
