I was a live-in house keeper for 6 years, besides my house work I also would wash her cars and occasionally would look after their children. I had gotten used to the routine of getting up early to start breakfast and make the children school lunches, after they left for school I would start my daily routine of cleaning one room and then move on to the next, of course when it was a bed room that I was cleaning I would also change the lines on the bed and then clean the bathroom replacing the towels with clean ones and other toiletries that needed replacing. I would do the laundry once a week and occasionally twice a week, after the laundry was complete I would iron the clothes that needed ironing and then hang them in the closet. Neldie came to assist caring for my mother, who is 91 years old. My mother has had aides come for more than 5 years. In that time, there have been more than a dozen different aides. Of all the aides that have come, Neldie is one of the best. Neldie helped mostly with companionship. Things like games and exercises. One of the best things Neldie brought a genuinely cheerful demeanor. That plus plenty of initiative was very uplifting for my mom. In addition, she brought new games + exercises that she learned from other clients. Neldie also helped with routine housekeeping: dishes, floors, laundry. With all of these, she was prompt + thorough. Not a moment wasted. Neldie is a keeper. I gave her 5 stars because I couldn't give her 6.
