Children want a friend that treats them with respect and kindness, thus I always ensure that "please", "thank-you" and "your welcome" are apart of normal conversation. I ensure this conduct of myself and in turn expect that they treat me with the equal respect. In a child lead environment it means making sure that the child is enjoying what they are learning at the time that they would like to. If I have the flexibility I always try to give them an option of two choices, thus empowering them some independence in their little world.
