I have always been extremely drawn to kids and adults with special needs. They bring my playful inner child out. They bring the big sister out that always wants to give them the advice that I wish I had. They bring the protective mom out of me that is always looking to make sure they are okay. Lastly, they bring the Grandma out of me as they are always showing me how to love, nurture, and feel gratitude even deeper. I was a church camp counselor and I worked with children with special needs and disabilities all throughout high school. I volunteered in special olympics for all four years of high school. I went to college for my education degree, however had to leave half way due to family issues. I have now been nannying for a year and I didn't realize what I was missing in my life until I started nannying. It has fulfilled my soul to be able to help out these families.
