Hello! Aside from having 20+ years experience caring for children, I've been a mother for 24 years and my youngest and only child still at home is 7. I do have experience with children who are on the spectrum, nonverbal, have adhd or a speech delay. I'm fun, patient and inclusive all around. I love to engage with all children and babies just make my heart melt! I enjoy staying positive, laughing and doing things outside with my kiddos as much as possible such as nature walks, Waterparks, playgrounds, swimming, trampoline parks, museums, reading and crafts. Keeping their little minds busy and feeling loved. My style of caretaking is gentle. I know as a mother how important it is to have someone with whom you can trust to care for your little ones. Misty has been absolutely AMAZING with both of my kids. I'm a single mom to a non-verbal autistic 6 year old and a super clingy, high-needs 11 month old precious baby. So as you can imagine, my kids are not the easiest to care for and I've had many failed attempts to find childcare for the prior to Misty. She's so down to earth and relatable. She's punctual and reliable. She absolutely respects how I do things and my individual parenting beliefs and CUDDLES my baby to sleep. This was such a huge deal to me, as I co-slept with him for almost a year and it was so hard to find someone willing to respect and honor my choices and meet me and my baby where we were at during that time. She handles my oldest with severe autism wonderfully. She's sooo patient. You can tell she genuinely LOVES kids. I had that feeling that I knew my kids were safe with her. She's watched them for months and now that I've had to transition my baby into daycare, she is still there for when I need her.
