About Miriah

While in college I went straight into veterinarian medicine and worked in that field for 5. 5 years. I have worked in a private practice, a chain company, and in shelter medicine which was by far my favorite experience. My time spent in shelter medicine is where I learned all about animal behavior and training. Being able to learn why animals act in certain ways and how to avoid certain behaviors and how to properly and humanely correct those concerns has helped me become an even better pet caregiver, for other people's furry friends as well as my own. In my 3 years of shelter medicine, I was a part of roughly if not more than 2, 500 surgeries. Mostly spay and neuter, with 95% of those animals being dogs and cats/ puppies and kittens. I was blessed with having a job I could put my empathy and compassion towards.
