About Miranda

I like working with kids because I enjoy creating lesson plans, teaching kids new things, and watching their interests spark as they enjoy new experiences. I am a mom myself and I have a teaching background as my degree is in elementary education and special education. I started working with kids when I was in college. I worked as a Day Camp Counselor for Trap Pond State Park. I then went on to become the (day camp) Director. I worked there for about three years. I worked with ages 5 to 16 years old. I created new camp themes and lesson plans that integrated science, outdoor play, and environmental action. One thing you should know about me is I treat nannying like a preschool setting because I have a certificate for preschool teaching. This means I like to plan out daily activities that are appropriate for the age I am working with. I like to take into account their interests and find fun activities that they can also learn different things from.
