About Mikayla

Hi my names Mikayla! I just completed my degree at Parsons School of Design and am looking for a job opportunity as a babysitter/nanny. Growing up with my mom as a preschool teacher, I witnessed the hard work and effort that goes in to helping children. I worked in her classroom during camp and loved it! Helping kids build confidence and form strong bonds whether through games or learning activities brought so much joy just by helping them in little ways. I have experience with babysitting, but I mainly helped my sister with her two kids that are a toddler and a baby. Even though they are family, I still feel that it takes hard work and dedication to create a strong bond with kids and to have them feel comfortable, seen, and heard. By going to design school, I have learned many ways to think creatively and quickly and I believe these are great tools when helping with kids. Whether coming up with games and activities or when a child just needs to be calmed down and listened to!
