Michelle worked for us for only a brief time as my mother's condition worsened very quickly, and she passed away only about two weeks after we met Michelle. However, in that time we found Michelle to be kind, reliable, caring and incredibly competent and experienced at caring for a person in very, very poor health. My mother was essentially immobile and had great difficulty communicating; Michelle was patient, strong and gentle. Her years of experience with people in similar situations were invaluable to us - everything from how to change the bedding and organize my mother's things, to understanding what mom might be trying to tell us, to what she might eat or how to make her comfortable. She cared about my family and did everything she could to help, regardless of job description. She knew when to intervene and when to allow my mother and father their privacy. And she was a positive addition to a household in crisis, right when we needed it.
