About Melvin

My interests in becoming a CNA working came about, when my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and passed away within a year of being diagnosed. I noticed a drastic change in my grandmother's behavior, attitude, mood, and the thrill of wanting to do any fun activities. I spent three days out of a week, helping provide care for my grandmother, alongside with my grandfather. In that moment I knew providing care for the elderly was what I really wanted and loved doing. I have experience in using the rite lifting equipment to transfer a patient, measure and record food and liquid intake, measure patients vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, applying dressing, supervising exercise routines, listen and record patients health concerns, provide help with walking, exercising, and moving in/out of bed, turn and re-position bedridden patients to prevent bedsores, serve meals, answer patients call signals, observe patients conditions, clean rooms & change linens
