About Melissa

Hello! I'm Melissa, I've lived in the Los Angeles area for over 4 years but grew up on the East Coast a little outside of Boston, MA. I love the beach year-round, trips to the park, reading, arranging flowers, and walking my dog. I come from a big family so I've always been around children of all ages. I have also held professional child care/ household positions including experience with behavioral and medical special needs. The things I enjoy most about working with kids are their creativity, honesty and contagious joy. I value wellness above all and aim to take an individualized approach with each child that fosters growth and builds confidence. As a professional I would describe myself as reliable, dedicated and direct. I am proud to be a queer, latina woman of color so I am looking for an inclusive environment.
