About Melissa

I'd describe my personality as fun, responsible, and passionate. I like working with kids because they have a natural curiosity for life. I learn so much from their ability to find joy in the smallest things. I've been working with children since I was a teenager, through volunteering, babysitting, and early childhood education. I have experience with infants through 5 years old in the ECC setting. I'm looking for a job that is part-time and has flexible hours. I prefer to work with infants through 18 months old. In my spare time I get really involved in my church, hang out with friends, and spend quality time with my husband. I also love taking care of my pets! One thing you should know about me is that I'm currently pregnant and due at the end of April. I'm looking for a temporary position before my baby's born. My skills include teaching children to advocate for themselves, helping children process their emotions, and remaining calm in the midst of tantrums.
