About Melissa

My name is Melissa, I am the mother of a 5yr old boy, a wife, a part-time ER tech going per diem, and full-time nursing student. I will be starting my final semester of nursing school in Sept. I worked as PCT for 4yrs on a unit that was considered end-of-life care/hospice. Along with that, our patient population was primarily bed bound, and patient's suffering with dementia/alzheimers. I recently helped care for my Aunt for the last eight weeks of her young life who passed away from early onset dementia. My future goals when I become a nurse is to work with hospice as well as critical care patients. I am comfortable with ADL care, med administration including injections and PICC line med admin, as well as wound vacs. I am looking to help someone part-time, as needed, and with a flexible schedule starting in September. I am BLS certified, and comfortable with any and all pets.
