About Melissa

I am a preschool teacher working on my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction Effective Practitioner. I currently teach in an inclusive classroom in KCKPS with a variety of children. I will be completing my 11th year this May! In addition to English, I speak some Spanish. While I am not against screen time, I do not encourage it- especially for children under age 5. Instead I enjoy creating art, doing science, baking, or playing inside or outside. I am happy to assist your child with any skills they are working on; from potty training to riding a bike to math homework! I am certified to work with general and special education students, and am comfortable working with most children- including those with significant behaviors. I have a teenage daughter who requires a special diet, so I am sensitive to any dietary needs your child/children may have and am cautious of cross-contamination. Additionally, I am certified in first aid and CPR. I'm excited to work with you!
