About Meghan

I am a full time special education teacher for children with social-emotional disabilities. I have experience working with children within residential and educational settings. I have worked with ages 3-25 with a wide range of abilities. I worked as a Personal Care Attendant for a woman with Cerebral Palsy and have experience with lifts and transfers. I also worked as a PCA for a young girl with Down Syndrome and a non-verbal disability. Both PCA positions required assistance with ADLs such as bathing, toileting, changing, cooking and cleaning. I worked at a residential special education school as direct-care staff in a girl's dual-diagnosis behavior unit. I have experience with verbal and physical aggression and have received training in Crisis Prevention Intervention. I have a passion for working with children and young adults and have extensive experience with multiple disabilities.
