Hi there! I'm a 35-year-old Syracuse University graduate & published playwright who recently moved to Chicago from NYC. I have 10+ years of professional child care experience, including FT, PT, and live-in (Manhattan, Hamptons in the summers). After graduating college, I spent several years as a live-in nanny/personal assistant to families, and still babysit PT while working remotely as writing, teaching elementary school drama classes for CPS, and pet sitting overnight in clients' homes all over Chicago. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I'm NOT a "hand your child an iPad while I watch the clock" type of sitter! :P I *actively* play & have an uncanny talent for reducing/handling/circumventing temper tantrums & teeth-brushing/vegetable-eating resistance! I am always down to make a fort out of cushions, I adore Play-Doh &, am GREAT with pets, and while I'm absolutely responsible & reliable, I'm also laid back, fun, and easy to work with! :)

Meggie is the best babysitter we had in a long time. I hired her directly from Care.com and she stayed with my children for three nights while I was out of town. The kids loved her! She is flexible, responsible and willing to do anything.
