About Megan
I am an energetic, responsible and creative 26-year-old from San Diego, CA. I am recently graduated from Portland State University with my Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Education and Sociology. I completed my undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in 2017 and have been traveling/ volunteering, nannying and teaching ever since. My specialization and professional experiences include ESL teaching, tutoring, and special education and assistance/aide. I have lived and taught abroad in Spain, Guatemala and now, I am pursuing my passion of furthering my education in order to make the world a better place. I am a dedicated tutor, a caring "sitter"/nanny and a passionate individual who loves to assist families, and especially their children, succeed both personally and academically. I've hired many nannies, personal assistants, organizers, tutors, pet sitters, etc...over the years (most through care.com), and Megan is by far the best I've ever had. I hired her as a tutor and my girls love her. They never complain when she comes (and we're talking academics three days a week throughout the summer and they actually enjoy it!). She's extremely professional, smart, flexible, kid-friendly, compliant, timely, responsible, gracious, self-starter, great attitude, etc... She's amazing with both of my girls, but I must say that she has a special niche for tweens/teens. She's down-to-earth & very relatable, yet always maintains the highest standards of professionalism. I must admit that I have really high standards, but so does she and that's probably why she's so amazing. I generally only give reviews if someone is exceptional. Therefore, I highly recommend Megan and would not hesitate to hire her as a tutor!
