I first developed a passion for working with children with special needs when I had the opportunity to volunteer at the UW Autism Center and was introduced to the types of support and interventions available for children with autism and their families. I discovered that this was of particular interest to me, so I transferred academic institutions and pursued a degree in psychology while simultaneously working for the organization Northwest Behavioral Associates in Bellevue, WA. I worked for this organization for three-and-a-half years, during which time I served as a home tutor and in-school academic support for students with ASD. In this position, I was trained in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapeutic services and worked with students ranging from three to 16 years of age. I have a personal passion for working with children with special needs and would love the opportunity to see if I would be a good fit for you and your family!
