About Mckenna

Hello! My name is McKenna and working with kiddos is my passion in life. I was working as a Pre-K teacher here in Spokane Valley but I am going back to school to get my Early Childhood Education degree so I am looking for a more part time position . I've been working with all ages since I was 15 years old when I was trained to be a swim instructor/lifeguard. I've been teaching swim lessons and in a pool ever since! Recently I was camp counselor in Maine, where I was in charge of 9-11 children at a time 24 hours a day for 8 weeks. It was such a wonderful experience, I learned more in those 8 weeks about working with younger ages than any course I've taken. I am also CPR certified. I am a hard worker, enjoy cleaning and I would say that cooking is one of my stronger accolades. If I do not know how to make something, I am an expert at following recipes! I can be a little slow to get the hang of things, but rest assured, once I have my footing I am a non-stop force :)
