About Mayra

I have worked for 2 years as a Youth Specialist where I have helped kids develop organizational and time management skills. I have also worked with parent to help them implement structured homework time. I am very familiar with IEPs as I was also an advocate for parents and their child. I have facilitated almost every type of IEP as an advocate, initials, annuals, tri-annuals, emergency, and transitional. I've helped parents acquire needed services from RSP to residential placement. Therefore I am fully aware of the patience that one needs to work with any child but especially those with learning difficulties. I am very passionate about helping kids develop the skills they need to learn independently.
