About Maya

Hi my name is Maya and I'd describe my personality as understanding, supportive, and wholesome. I enjoy working with kids because I love to teach them something new or help see improvement. Working as a coach allowed me to work with kids of all ages, and coach them all in different ways to fit their personalities or styles of learning. I started working with kids when I became a camp counselor and youth coach at a climbing gym in 2021. I am still coaching at this gym once a week, so I have consistently been working with kids close to three years now. I am CPR certified and will be getting my Associates degree on Social and Behavioral Sciences at the end of this spring semester. I am also working on another degree on Cardiovascular Sonography which is from 8am-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday. In my spare time, I like to rock climb, go to the beach, mountains, and desert to surf, snow board, and ride dirt bikes. I also like to do crafts such as crochet and make jewelry.
