From the age of 16 I have in some from or another, I have taken care of the elderly. Working as a nurses aide in a nursing home was the first job I had. Worked at that job for 6 years until I married and started a family. Went back to work after a few years, going back to being an aide. At that time, you did not have to be certified. Through the years, have taken care of numerous family members, most recently an aunt and uncle, and a sister in law that has alzheimer's. Had also been taken care of an elderly neighbor who passed away last year.
