About Mary

I am a long-time animation producer who decided to make a change. I want to do more meaningful work that positively impacts another's life. Volunteer Caretaker Experience: Through MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund), I volunteered as a companion to an 88-year-old woman for six years. When we met, she had recently given up driving and needed help getting around her home, running errands, etc. But as it turned out, she most needed companionship - someone to listen, talk with, or sit quietly with. Several years into our friendship, she had a stroke, followed by an extended hospital stay, and was eventually moved to an assisted living facility. I remained her companion and friend through these many transitions. Only the facility staff and I were present when her time was nearing. I will forever be grateful that she didn't pass alone and that I could be with her until the end. I'm happy to share more when we meet.
