Hello, I have recently expanded my Montessori education to Dementia Care for those living with Dementia. This approach is rather new in the U. S. but very much common practice in many other countries around the world. Working Montessori materials/ Montessori philosophy with those living with dementia opens up a world of difference in their daily lives bringing dignity for individual as well as and especially the Care Provider, and Families. The approach works with each individual at their level enhancing individual preserved strengths as well as creating new pathways to rediscover new strengths and interests in everyday life.
