About Marnie

I have worked with kids in different roles for more than 10 years. I worked as nanny in Charlotte, NC while I finished college---and took care of 2 children, a boy age 2, and a 9-month-old girl. In 2003 I graduated college with a Bachelors of Music in Vocal performance. After graduation, I began to work as a substitute teacher. My first subbing job was as a music teacher, finishing off the last 3 months of the school year. After that, I returned home to IL, and subbed, primarily in Pre-K. For the past 8 years, I have lived in NYC, and worked as a sub para. There, I worked primarily with kids with various learning abilities, most often with kids with Asperger's. In addition, I have worked for an artistic babysitting agency, Sitter's Studio, since 2007, working with children ranging from 4 weeks to 13 years.
