About Marjorie

Hello! I am a retired Music Educator. I taught Instrumental Music for 30 years. I taught children how to reach beyond their circle to explore other cultures through song and dance. After retirement, I sought employment as a tutor. I worked in home with a 9-year-old child. He had excellent Math skills, but could not recite or identify all of the alphabet. I designed his curriculum accordingly. We worked together for about a year. Our relationship ended when his Mom passed away and I obtained full time employment at a local school. At the end of our time together, my student was able to read and write on a second grade level. I worked as a substitute teacher and eventual full time para professional at Tangi Academy Charter School. This school no longer exist, however my supervisor will serve as a reference if needed.
