About Marisa

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, creative and kind. As an inspiring mental health clinician, I am passionate about supporting children in building self-esteem, and positive emotional and social skills. I'm looking for a job that is part-time and/or seasonal. I am recent Masters of Social Work graduate, and will begin a clinical therapist position in July . I am the oldest in my family, and have always taken care of my siblings and cousins. In high school, I worked as a baby sitter in my neighborhood and I also was a mentor to a 5th grader in my community. Last year, I was a mental health counselor at a K-8 charter school, and I provided therapy and counseling for kids in elementary school individually and in in the classroom. In my spare time, I like to cook, read, watch Netflix, bake/cook, spend time with loved ones, travel, hike, go to the beach, visit museums and journal. My skills include patience, communication and creativity.
