About Maria

Hello! My name is Maria and I am looking for a part-time babysitting position. I currently work in Pilsen for an after-school program from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. so I am looking for a morning part-time position. I have a lot of experience working with children and love doing it! Last year I worked on the southwest side in a Chicago Public School. I tutored and mentored fourth graders and worked with them on managing their behavior in the classroom. It was a grueling yet rewarding job that changed my life. In the long run, I see myself working towards advocating for children in forgotten communities as a counselor or social worker. I have been a nanny and babysitter for many children over the years. This past summer I cared for a child with severe ADHD and anxiety. In college, I interned in Waukegan as a Reading Center Coordinator in a summer camp called Beacon Place, managing more than 50 children at a time. I look forward to hearing from you! Maria
