About Mara

Hello! I spent the past year tutoring for a pre-school and 1st grade student covering early literacy skills, reading fluency and comprehension, math, STEAM, fine and gross motor skills, and Spanish language. Previously, I worked as an elementary teacher at Manassas City Public Schools from August 2018-June 2020. I utilized flexible lesson planning and pacing to meet needs of a varied-level classroom with 27+ students. Additionally, I differentiated instruction for ESOL students, learning support students, and students with autism. Before that I substitute taught in Pennsylvania from Jan. 2017-June 2018. I held a long-term kindergarten teacher position from November 2017-January 2018. Over the summer months in college, I was a camp counselor at the YWCA of Westmoreland County, PA.
