About Mahala

Hi there! My name is Mahala (pronounced "Mahaylah") and I am a Early Childhood Educator permitted in California. I am originally from the Midwest (think small towns with lots of corn) and I've been living in LA for about a year and a half now. I have my Bachelor's of Science in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Development and Education. I also spent 2. 5 years teaching English in China. I enjoy working with children because I like to share their joy as they experience the world for the first time and learn new, valuable skills that they will carry with them into the future. I'd describe my personality as friendly, open, comforting. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, swimming at the beach, gardening, and cooking. I'm looking to meet a family with whom I can have an open, warm, and respectful working relationship. I pride myself on my communication and finding a good fit (whether that it occasionally or recurring, part time or full time) is important me!
