I am currently going to school for my degree in occupational therapy. I have shadowed in an ABA clinic where I worked with children from 2-12 years old who all had an autism diagnosis. I have also had experience working at the Muscular Dystrophy Association's (MDA) summer camp, where I did 1 on 1 care and helped with wheelchair transfers with a hoyer lift. I was also the president and a member of Best Buddies where our mission was to promote inclusion by working with students and adults who had intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was working with this population that inspired me to become an occupational therapist and I hope to continue to work with individuals with special needs after I achieve my Master's degree.
