Hello! I have several years experience supporting young people of various different needs. I have a positive and mindful approach, understanding that each individual works differently. For over 3 years I worked with a young adult who has ADHD and needed support building routine with their school and sleep schedule. With communication, trial and error and observing what they responded well to in other settings we were able to create a schedule that works well for them and their parents. As a certified yoga instructor, with a college degree in health education, I approach each person and day with the lens of holistic health and personal growth. I love watching and supporting people learn and grow! I am incredibly patient but hold boundaries for kiddos when needed. Maddie is amazing! She came to nanny for our family this summer, taking care of our 2 year old daughter and our 4 year old son. Maddie exceeded every expectation I had - she became a wonderful addition to our family and I cannot express how sad I am to see her go. Both of our kids are very shy and yet Maddie got them to open up - meeting them where they were comfortable and nourishing their sense of self and creativity. It was wonderful watching them blossom with her over the summer. They both developed a love for art (drawing, painting, crafts, etc.) thanks to Maddie, and I was nothing short of amazed watching my son's progression in reading and writing due to his daily practice and work with Maddie. I highly recommend Maddie - her calm, mindful approach combined with her knowledge and clear passion for working with children make her excellent at what she does.
