About Mackenzie

Hi! I am a reliable, patient, creative, and encouraging teacher who has 6 years of experience with early childhood education. I have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Cedarville University, and I am currently a 1st grade teacher in the area. I have been teaching for 2 years, and prior to that I was volunteering and student teaching in the school system for 4 years. I am pre-K through 5th grace certified. My first year of teaching, I was a reading specialist, specializing in Phonics and the Science of Reading. I find so much joy in teaching reading! I now also teach math, science, social studies, and am able to teach art, physical education, elementary music, and elementary computer. I thrive with K-1st graders, but enjoy changing it up and teaching pre-K, as well as 3-5th too! I am getting married this summer and have other prior engagements, so I am only available Mondays-Thursdays, or any variation of those days.
