About Mackenna

Over the past 7 years, I have acquired a significant amount of experience with children. I am the oldest of four kids, and have always been looking out for my younger siblings, picking out their clothes, and teaching them valuable life lessons. When I was 13, I started babysitting regularly around my neighborhood (La Grange, IL) and gained knowledge with caring for kids, and formed strong bonds with the families in my area. I then started to work as a swim coach at Lyons Aquatics, where I instructed kids ages 6-12 at swim team practices twice a week. I also worked as a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor at the La Grange Field Club for five years, again working with kids to improve their swimming skills.
