About Lydia

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, dependable, and kind. I like working with kids because you're always learning something new, and hopefully so are they! I started working with kids when I was about 13, helping out neighbors with childcare at first; then others as word spread that I really was great with kiddos from the start! In my spare time, I like to read, swim, and play with my animals. One thing you should know about me is that I am a law student, my time is very valuable so inviting your family into my space and time is an important decision for me. While I do need the extra money, I always expect the same respect and kindness that I provide, in return. My skills include transitions, especially with special needs kiddos. I'm very good at making sure kiddos are comfortable with me, I want to respect them as little human beings. I'm great at deescalating upsetting moments.
