I have worked with autistic children in the areas of helping them dress themselves, learning to use a fork and feed themselves, toilet training and washing their hands. I am employed by a school district, working in different schools with autistic children, ADD, MS, all learning disabilities. I have a great passion to help and take of these remarkable children. I assist them with homework and reading also with playing with their toys and helping them adjust to playing and sharing with their siblings. I have had diets to follow as most children with autism have different diets that need to be followed. I have encouraged reading as this promotes them to speak instead of the use of sign language. I have kept daily routines for these children because it helps them with responsibility and above all makes them very secure with their surroundings. I am very passionate with the care and growth of each and every child I have helped. I know that I can contribute so much for these children in their daily life, it makes such a big difference not only to me but the parents to see how much the children grow with the tools that are provided to them. It is a heart felt moment to see a child dress themself put on their shoes, and make their bed. I take pride in all of these wonderful moments. I know I can make a difference.
