I received my bachelors in education at the University of Science & Technology, Beijing. I came to the Bay Area in 2010 to study for my masters in education at Patten University. After I finished, I worked at Shuren International School until 2016, then I decided to start homeschooling and tutoring in Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley area as Mandarin Immersion. I'm a creative, organized teacher highly regarded for extensive experience in classroom administration, professional development, and project planning with 17 years experience of teaching, and 7 years of homeschool teacher. Lu has been a great resource for my 7 year old son, who is learning Chinese without any Chinese speakers at home. She is professional, yet warm, and my son enjoys meeting with her. He is doing much better in his Chinese class at school since he has been working with Lu. She is an excellent communicator and she responds openly to my requests about what my son needs to practice, while also helping me understand her teaching style and plan.
