As a caregiver I think it is important to treating my clients with dignity and respect. being kind and gentle with them. my goal is to always alleviate any embarrassment they may feel now that they need assistance and are no longer able to do much for themselves. In my opinion open communication and patience are the biggest principles to stand on as a caregiver. The last decade as a caregiver I have perfected my essential skills; recording and monitoring blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates. Bed baths, wound dressing, digital disimipaction, transferring, and giving emotional or psychological support when needed. I gained my experience working a wide rage of different cases such as; multiple sclerosis cases, diabetic( insulin and non insulin dependent) cases, cancer cases, Alzheimer/dementia care, and hospice cases.
