About Lindsey

I am a School Counselor of 8 years, now stay-at-home-mom for my infant (and 9&10y/o). I have a clear passion for children. I have worked with 4K-12 kids in school counseling. I specialize in trauma-informed care, cognitive behavior therapy (using "think sheets" to change behavior), and reaching kids with special needs. I am assertive yet kind with kids. I have taught various classroom lessons on social skills, communicating feelings, safety, careers, and more. I have related activities to use at home. Now that I am staying home, I am eager to add some more children to my life. For daytime childcare, my baby typically accompanies me. Occasionally, I will take a pm or weekend gig, and the baby stays with my partner (unless the parent wants my kids to come play). I haven't done a background check on Care. com, but I assure you that my previous School Counseling jobs have done rigorous background/drug/character screenings.
