About Lindsay

Being Lindsay's supervisor, I manage her impact as a City Year AmeriCorps member at a Middle School, an under-resourced, urban school in the south-end of Providence, Rhode Island. Lindsay reports to service every school day at 7:30 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening. She served in four 7th grade ELA classrooms where she assist her partner teachers with whole class instruction, classroom management, and individualized student support. Lindsay was assigned a caseload of 20+ students where she was responsible in different capacities addressing chronic absenteeism, social-emotional mentoring, and academic tutoring. With her strong ability to build positive relationships with faculty and students, Lindsay tailored intervention sessions to meet student's needs, differentiating her approach for the individual students on her caseload. She also serves as her team s Social Emotional Coordinator where she focuses on supporting the school with events and initiatives for promoting a school-wide culture of empathy and social intelligence. She also has a strong self-driven attitude to ensure efficiency in her relationships with students as well as her tutoring plans for them. Something impressive about Lindsay is her hard work ethics tied with her belief in both a student s ability and right to achieve. This is why I strongly recommend Lindsay as a child care provider.
