I am a friendly, outgoing and compassionate person looking for part time work assisting or caring for seniors bringing companionship. I'm retired from working where I worked in health services for over 15 years. I got started caregiving back in 2002 when my husband had a heart attack followed by a stroke leaving him left side paralyzed. I had to care for him: companionship, transportation, cooking, medication assistance, assisting with bathing and dressing. Cared for him for 4 years; he has since passed. This is when I found my true passion for assisting and caring for others. Caregiving is a blessing. I've cared for ambulatory and non. Cared for those needing lots of assistance to those with minimal needs but the need was companionship. Also I've worked with this memory care needs and even cared for those in hospice. Duties include medication, wound care, transportation to appointments, paying bills, bathing, dressing, In addition I can prepare meals and light house work. .
