About Lexi

I'd describe my personality as observant and charismatic, with a sprinkle of type-A I like working with kids because I find children's observations of the world to be fascinating! I started working with kids when I was 16 years old. In my spare time, I like to bake, do crafts, and play with my dog Oliver! One thing you should know about me is that I've struggled with ADHD since I was a child. During my time in the Education Program at Athens State I studied techniques and strategies to challenge a child's way of thinking. I have applied some of these techniques and strategies to my own life and have seen great progress! My skills include making sure a child's voice is heard, offering various small choices throughout the day to help them learn about decision-making, and being a cheerleader that teaches children how to work through big emotions.
