About Leonardo

I am a teacher, visual artist, musician, and writer who graduated with honors from the UCLA School of Art and values mentorship, patience, work ethic, and the power of belief. I primarily work with students in writing and visual art, guiding students through College Personal Statements and secondary applications - beginning by interviewing students to facilitate initial content, helping them to craft a statement that feels honest, unique, expressive, and impactful, and editing statements in later stages. Students I've worked with have been admitted to UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, Boston, Cooper Union, Loyola University, Indiana, and other schools. I have also worked as an educator for the last three years at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences. I instruct students in areas of academic writing, such as analyzing literary texts (close-reading), history and ethnography essays, art theory, and more. I also teach painting, drawing, and mixed media art. I look forward to helping you learn :)
