About Leia

I am a high school English teacher looking to continue utilizing my skills as an educator during the summer time and potentially during the school year, depending on the circumstances! As a teacher, I am experienced in implementing effective teaching strategies into my teaching to ensure my students are successful in their endeavors. I specialize in English of course, but I am also quite experienced in research writing! I'd describe my personality as bubbly, hard working and passionate. I enjoy education, learning new things, and bettering myself and others. I know education isn't easy for everyone; I enjoy helping students "get it" when prior mentors have pushed them aside. I started tutoring when I was in grade school, unofficially. I was always antsy to help my peers, even if they didn't want it. Officially, I've been tutoring since my sophomore year of college in 2021. I like to read, cuddle with my fur babies and enjoy spending time with my hubby.
